Position: Permanent part-time

We are looking for a committed, reliable and dynamic French/English tutor for elementary and high school children.

Our program offers individual support to students looking to improve their academic skills in reading and writing in English & French (oral and written). We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who enjoys working with students (K to Gr 12) to provide explicit phonics instruction for reading and writing to our younger students and coach students in higher grades to produce superior reading, writing and editing skills needed for high school success in French and English together. This program is offered to students who are in French first language, French Second language, early and late immersion.

Requirements:


  • Experience working with ESL children
  • Experience teaching reading skills using phonics
  • Mandatory - experience working with elementary aged children in small groups

Little Readers teachers use proprietary materials to teach students vowels, sounds, the alphabet, phonics, reading, writing, vocabulary and comprehension.

Requirements:


  • Experience working with children (3-5 years of age)
  • Education with a focus on primary grades or other equivalent credentials is an asset
