Franchise Checklist
This checklist has been prepared to help you, a Prospective Franchisee, understand the process you will follow to become an Oxford Learning Franchisee and open your own business.
Phase 1: Evaluating the Opportunity/Discovery Stage
- I understand the market potential of supplemental education.
- I understand the value of franchising and I am committed to working within a franchise system.
- I have forwarded my Confidential Application to Head Office.
- I have read all the information in the Franchise Information Package.
- I understand how Oxford Learning operates and how a franchise can succeed.
- I have received the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC).
- I have started my due diligence.
- I have returned a receipt for the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC).
- I have met with Oxford Learning representatives from Oxford Learning Head Office in Canada and/or the US Corporate Office in Livingston New Jersey.
- I have received answers to my questions regarding the Oxford Learning Franchise opportunity.
- I have enough information to make an informed business decision.
Phase 2: Awarding of Franchise
- As part of the franchise application process, I have signed the Franchise Agreement and paid the initial Franchise Fee.
- My Confidential Application and other relevant information have been presented to the Oxford Learning Selection Committee for review.
- My Franchise Application and general geographical area has been approved by the Oxford Learning Selection Committee.
- I have been awarded the Franchise and received my signed Franchise Agreements.
- I continue to work with the Franchise Department to finalize my Franchise location.
Phase 3: Target - Opening Date
- I have met with the Oxford Learning Support group.
- I have received a set of Manuals, Video and/or DVD’s and assessment materials for pre-training.
- I have arranged my training schedule.
- My financing has been arranged.
- Education materials ordered.
- Furniture ordered.
- Signs ordered.
- Decorating and leaseholds scheduled.
- Teacher and staff interviews held.
- Staff hired.
- Telephones ordered.
- Insurance in place.
- Open House advertising placed.
- Media releases sent.
