TED Talks – Sir Ken Robinson on Education
Sir Ken Robinson, author of Out of Our Minds: Learning to be Creative, gives an entertaining and touching talk on children and their native creative abilities.
Uncommon Genius by Denise Shekerjian is also worth a look. In it she interviews 40 winners of the MacArthur Foundation Fellowship award – an award given to those who demonstrate leaps in creativity – often called the ’Genius Award’.
Enjoy!

I live in Argentina, really far from England and Canada. However, I agree a hundred per cent with Mister Robinson. I am 32, I am getting married soon and one of my main concerns is how would I educate my children. Besides, I think this knew kind of perspective on education is a hope for people like me. I think creativity will save the world, because only those connected with their own thinking and desire are the ones capable of being creative. Sorry for any language mistake.
Thank you Marcela – and no problem on the language. Your comments are easily understood. This talk is one of my favorites – very inspirational. Joe
