I have a bachelor of education in early childhood. I have been working at Oxford for about 5 years and just adore the Little Readers program. I love the outdoors like camping, skiing and hiking, now I wish I could teach outside! :)
Melanie Murray
(Part-Time teacher)
I grew up in a small town outside of Ottawa where I loved to skate and ride my horse. From a young age I knew I wanted to be a teacher. After graduating university with my teaching degrees I decided to do some world exploring. I moved to Belgium to teach third grade, speak French and travel around Europe. I have teaching experience in most elementary grades and special education. I came to Calgary this past summer and I can’t wait to get on the mountains!

I am very excited to be part of Oxford preschool once again this year. My personal philosophy has been to support each child abilities, personalities, and opportunity to reach their potentials. I obtained a science degree in dietetic from the University of Alberta and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Education at the University of Calgary. I have had many wonderful experiences over the years working with children and parents. I look forward to sharing a fun-filled year.
Maxine Lam
(Part-Time teacher)
I graduated from the University of Calgary in 2006 with a Bachelor of Commerce. After running my own business I decided to make a career change, so now I am pursuing a Masters of Teaching degree. As a native Calgarian I enjoy the outdoors, from hiking to snowboarding, but my true passion lies within the sport of field hockey. I have played for 13 years at various levels and have coached for 10 years. I have tutored all throughout my university career. Now working at Oxford, I look forward to meeting you and your child.
Nada Berro
(Education Director)
I grew up in Montreal, Qc and moved to Calgary three years ago for a change and new opportunities! Ever since, Oxford Learning has been a significant part of my life. I started as a French tutor while completing my BA in French. As a tutor since high school, I very much enjoy working with my colleagues and the wonderful families at Oxford Learning Centre.

I’ve been teaching for three years now. So, me in a nutshell, eh? Well, I’m a nerd at heart; I have a passion for reading—just about anything. Other than that, I enjoy traveling, jogging, and flavoured tea. Snow Patrol completes me. My pet peeves have to be ignorance, narrow-mindedness, and road rage. I’m a student of life and live it by Mahatma Gandhi's words “Be the change you want to see in the world.” =)
