Tutoring Grande Prairie Oxford Learning
Meet the Team
Little Readers Teacher - Tanya Ironside:
“My name is Tanya Ironside and I am the Little Readers teacher at Oxford Learning Center. I graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1988 and a Bachelor of Education degree in 1992. I have taught in Scotland, Nova Scotia and Alberta. Teaching Little Readers is always fun because the students are so enthusiastic and they take great pride in their accomplishments. We smile and laugh together every day!”
Education Coordinator - Lyndell Weldon:
“Lyndell has worked at Oxford for almost one year. After a career as a Teacher’s Assistant in the local school district, she now uses her many years of experience to guide our students and help our families meet their goals. She is dedicated to helping our teachers and students at Oxford. In her free time, she teaches SCUBA diving lessons and enjoys visiting new places and spending time with her family. Photography and crafts are also a favourite pass time. Her motto is: “Keep on learning!”
Centre Director - Kelley Carter:
Kelley has worked with Oxford Learning since it opened in 2008. She truly believes in the Oxford Learning program and it’s ability to help a child succeed. Her favourite part of her day is when she learns of all the successes happening in the Centre. She is originally from Grande Prairie, and earned her Bachelor of Education from the Teacher Education North program at GPRC. She enjoys traveling with her husband, camping and spending time with family.
