Tutoring Grande Prairie Oxford Learning
Student Successes
We want to share with everyone all the good things happening in our Centre and we want to recognize the efforts of those who are working hard to:
- Show a positive attitude towards learning and others
- Be willing to take a risk and try something new
- Ask for help, or help someone
- Learn from a mistake
- Improved a skill
These students and teachers have shown outstanding success:
- Ayo – Staying for 2 extra minutes to finish his writing.
- Olejuru – Got excited about her math exam: “Math is NOT my worst subject!”
- J. – Used a new place value strategy.
- Daisha – Improved her sentence writing.
- L. - Did his very best work in printing.
- Mackenzie – Helping others at our table.
- Denver – Tidied up his shoes without being asked.

A few words from some of our parents…
Until my son "Jacob" started at the Oxford he hated reading. In fact, I would continue to buy him books, take him to library and basically bribe him to read but it was awful. He just hated when it was time to read more than he hated that it was bedtime. After attending the Oxford for only 2 months I went to check on him after bedtime to discover that he had been reading in bed prior to falling asleep. Between his bed and the wall I had found all of his books instead of on his bookshelf collecting dust and now he reads to me everynight before bed. I was amazed at the difference the Oxford Learning Centre has made. He is eager to attend his classes and has more self-confidence than ever before.
