Hello everyone! My name is Tara and, as the new Education Coordinator for the Oxford Learning Centre in Brooklin, I am thrilled to be part of such an amazing team of dedicated professionals who help Brooklin students maximize their full potential. I have my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology/Anthropology as I have always loved learning about human interaction, various cultures and society as a whole. I am very proud of our Brooklin community as my family and I have resided here for over 16 years. So, to be able to give back to my community, to the children of Brooklin in the field of education, is extremely rewarding. My personal mantra has always been to give 100% of myself, 100% of the time. I look forward to meeting all of the present and future Oxford Learning Centre students and their families. Together as a team, we can and will empower your child to succeed.

Hi, I’m Liz and I am in my third year of teaching at Oxford Learning Brooklin. I grew up in the Durham Region, attended the University of Windsor for my Bachelor of Arts in Education and then went to London, Ontario for my Bachelor of Education. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher and wanted to help others succeed. My favourite part of teaching is when students have “aha” moments. The “aha” moment means that there’s been a breakthrough and more success is possible. I look forward to working with the families in Brooklin, helping students achieve these “aha” moments!

Hello, I’m Razelle and I’m proud to be a teacher at Oxford. I am currently in my fourth year at the University of Toronto and studying Pre-Med. I am also an aspiring guitarist and currently learning how to play classical and acoustic music. I love teaching because I want to inspire students and I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experiences with them.

My name is Samantha and I am very excited to be a part of the Oxford team! I received my Bachelor's degree in psychology from Queen's University, as well as a post-graduate certificate in mental health and addictions counselling from Durham College. I started my teaching career as an in-home tutor where I worked primarily with children who faced learning disabilities and mental health issues. I have also worked with patients from Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences who were working towards academic upgrading and attaining high school credits. I believe that everyone has a right to an education, regardless of their circumstances, and I am very passionate about helping others overcome their academic obstacles to become excited about learning. I hope to share this passion as I begin this next adventure as a teacher at Oxford!

Hi there, my name is Shelby. I grew up and went to school in the Durham Region. I received a 2-year Early Childhood Education Diploma from Durham College in 2012 and plan on continuing my education next year in university. I am currently a full-time ECE with the Durham District School Board, working within the Full Day Kindergarten Program. My favourite part about teaching is seeing the progress that children make over time and knowing that I was able to guide them along their way to positive and effective learning.

Hi, my name is Megan and I am the new Little Readers/R.E.A.D Elite teacher. I graduated as a Primary/Junior teacher with a B.Ed from OISE/UT, and an M.A. and B.A. in English Literature from Trent University. I recently moved to Brooklin and enjoy spending time in the community. I am interested in educational psychology, and how children's beliefs about their ability to learn impact their success. I have always wanted to work with children because they are inquisitive, positive, and humourous.

Hi! My name is Chantal and I’m so excited to be part of Oxford’s team! I graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Music in Piano and more recently from Trent University with a Bachelor of Education in the Primary/Junior division. I love learning new things and I want to inspire that love of learning in my students by making it fun and interesting for them. I also think that building self-esteem is an important part of a student’s education, and I want to help the students I work with build their confidence. I look forward to a great time at Oxford!

Our individualized programs are a fun way to enhance cognitive skill development, in a caring environment and small classroom setting. The early learning years are irreplaceable, and it is never too early for children to get ahead!

Beyond Tutoring Grades 1-8

Students will follow individualized programs based on the results of their assessments. Our individualized programs have helped thousands of students improve their grades and build confidence and self-esteem. Let us help your child learn to think, focus, and get motivated—skills for a lifetime of success.

Advantage High School Success Grades 9-12

Take advantage of our program to help students tackle problem areas this school year and prepare for next year and beyond. High school means crunch time and we work to bridge any existing academic gaps while teaching effective organization and study strategies. Because the development of good high school study skills is not something that students are formally taught at school, we include it as an important element of our curriculum. These in-class strategies reduce stress and help students focus on success in high school and post-secondary school!

En Français Programs All Ages

We teach French to students of all ages and abilities. Whether French First Language, Immersion, or taking introductory classes, we can help! Learn French skills as well as other learning skills that will not only help with French, but all subjects!

SAT & ACT GPA 5.0

Our college and university readiness programs don’t just help students cram for entrance exams; they help students prepare for ongoing post-secondary success!
