Originally from Pennsylvania, Faith Kilafwasru holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Towson University (MD). She began her career as an educator teaching fourth grade in the Baltimore City Public School system. Since then, she’s held teaching positions in both public and private schools on the East and West coasts and in Hawaii. And she’s instructed a variety of students—those who are gifted and talented, dyslexic and diagnosed with ADHD.
Since 2002, Faith has owned and operated Oxford Learning Chesapeake, in Virginia, which is recognized as one of the corporation’s fastest growing franchises. Of the more than 100 locations in the United States and Canada, Oxford Learning Chesapeake has received numerous corporate awards and is the first to be a candidate for accreditation with the committee on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation.
Building on the success of the Chesapeake center, Faith bought and began operating Oxford Learning Evans in Georgia in 2008.
Faith holds professional certificates in Dynamic Assessment Administration and Interpretation, Advanced Programming Practices and Principles, Advanced Teaching Practices and Principles and Learning Center Administration and Management from Oxford Learning, Inc.
She is a member of the National Teachers of Mathematics, International Reading Association, National Council of Teachers of English and American Homeschool Association.
