Jodi opened Oxford Learning Kitchener in July 2001. Every day is exciting, whether it is seeing a 3 year old learning to read, a grade 5 student finally feeling confident in math, or a High School student acing an exam. To see children transform into confident, independent and happy learners is the most rewarding part of Jodi's job.

MAINTAINING ACADEMIC MOMENTUM OVER THE SUMMER PREVENTS Summer Brain Drain
Research into summer learning shows that students can lose up to 30% of their academic skills over the summer break. This means that in the fall, students are actually further behind than when they left school at the beginning of summer.
In as little as 2 hours a week, we will customize a summer program to help your child catch up or get ahead.
We are also offering summer workshops and camps (see below).

"Frustrated, bored, squashed, feeling hopeless, and basically giving up describes my son graduating from Grade 6. I was concerned for him and his future. I decided to check out Oxford Learning on the advice of a friend. He was tested and results were in and I knew they could help. From the moment I walked in I was treated with respect, and more importantly, so was my son. I decided to change schools and to use Oxford Learning to help both with my son’s confidence and with the transition to the new school environment. I was very happy and pleased to see my son grow in confidence and to love school again. His marks were great and he was able to learn and enjoy his relationship with his teachers both at school and Oxford Learning. I call Oxford Learning my son’s very own “cheer leading squad”! They inspire, direct, challenge, and celebrate every success in my son’s life. I enjoy the many conversations concerning my son’s progress. I am impressed with the workbooks and the material. It is about learning how to learn. My son is in Grade 11 now and I am very pleased with Oxford Learning and all they have taught him. I am grateful to everyone who has worked with him and helped him to be all that he is and will be. Oxford Learning has been a big part of my son’s success and they truly are his very own “cheer leading squad”! Thank you!" - Margery
"Our Oxford Learning experience has been wonderful in so many ways. Our daughter Kirsten loves every minute of it! Melissa and all the teachers and staff go out of their way to make the Oxford Learning experience rewarding and meaningful for each student. Kirsten has learned strategies that will help her in school and also in life. Kirsten loves attending classes because of the positive and caring way that the teachers approach each lesson. The reason why we choose Oxford Learning was because of the way they individually assess each students needs. Oxford Learning works with the specific needs of your child. We have been with Oxford Learning now for 3 years and thank each one of you for making a difference in Kirsten's life. Thanks so much!!" - Michelle and Dave
"Oxford Learning Centre is more than a place for studying. The teachers genuinely care and the environment is an enjoyable one. I come to Oxford Learning on a weekly basis for two hours on Monday and Wednesday to do Physics and Chemistry, and both of those classes are much easier thanks to Oxford Learning. I have been here for two and a half years and have appreciated all the work Oxford Learning has put forth. It is my favourite spot to relax, focus, and do a pile of homework." - Eric – Grade 11
"We have had great results with Oxford Learning. We enrolled our son to provide him with extra support and to prepare him to move into secondary school. The staff is awesome and attentive and the learning environment allows for one on one attention mixed nicely with group work. The balance enabled my son to work more effectively around distractions by becoming more focused and confident in his own abilities. Several years later, although no longer at Oxford Learning, he still reaps the benefit of the foundations that were given to him there. Thanks so much!" - Sarah
"When Michael first started Oxford Learning he barely knew the alphabet, writing his name was still a task, and he almost stopped speaking. His confidence was gone and didn't want to learn anymore. After 10 months at Oxford Learning he knows all his letters, sounds and numbers. He has regained confidence and wants to learn (he even wants to teach his little sister now). We are all very happy. Thanks Oxford Learning!" - Nellie
