The Oxford Learning Little Readers program has been a great opportunity for my son not only improve his language skills but to gain confidence in his ability to communicate. Initially, we were very concerned as our son did not speak much and the words he did speak were not coherent. At the age of three, we took him to a speech therapist who helped him to learn how to make certain sounds to help him with his verbal communication. The speech therapist also recommended that we have him attend the Oxford Learning program for two reasons: one, to help him continue to improve his verbal skills and two, to help him gain confidence in his communication skills. Within six months we saw both these skills vastly improve. Being able to communicate his needs has made him a more outgoing and sociable child without the anxiety and frustrations he had before. Oxford Learning has truly affected his life in a positive way.
I cannot say enough about all that Oxford Learning has done for my daughter. She went from avoiding material that she found difficult, to seeing it as a concept that she was capable of conquering. More than just teaching concepts, Oxford Learning taught my daughter how to learn. She is now a self-motivated, enthusiastic student who sets her own goals, and with the help of the exceptional Oxford Learning staff, works to achieve them!

Where do I begin? Based on popular opinion regarding Oxford Learning Centre, I expected great things over the past year and this summer— and I have not been disappointed! Anthony always has positive things to say about the instructors at Oxford Learning, particularly the dynamic way the lessons are delivered. When he agreed that he try working with the teachers at the learning centre concerning English and math, he wasn’t very hopeful that things would change. He expected tutoring to be a lot like sitting in class, but Oxford Learning ensured that this wasn’t the case. To his surprise, he quite enjoyed in the learning process. It is comforting to know that my son is happy at school. Thank you for all your hard work. We truly appreciate it!
Before my daughter started with Oxford Learning Centre, homework was a struggle. She had lost much of her self-confidence with her ability to succeed and she had very little interest in learning. Her reading, writing, and math were approximately two grade levels below her current grade, and now, in just six short months, she is reading, writing and doing math at one-two grade levels above her current grade! Now she loves school, her self-confidence has improved immensely, and she takes a key interest in her education. Thank you, Oxford Learning, for re-igniting my daughter’s desire to learn!
As you know, our daughter began attending Oxford Learning in Grade 3 and she is now in Grade 12. She feels confident in her ability to succeed in school. We were very fortunate to have this learning centre establish itself in Bolton. This centre offered much more than just tutoring. It provided a good environment in which to learn as well as helping our daughter gain the confidence needed to succeed in school. Over the past ten years, our daughter has worked with many staff members at the Oxford Learning Centre. They have shown guidance, patience and exhibited a great deal of knowledge. It was very important to us that Oxford Learning began by evaluating our daughter and offering an individual learning program. This was useful in determining what basic fundamentals she had missed and began focusing on strengthening those in order for her to move forward. It was also helpful to us as parents that Oxford Learning met with us on a regular basis to discuss our daughter’s achievements. Oxford Learning Centre also communicated with her teachers to discuss the curriculum and expectations for the grade she was attending. We honestly believe that without the Oxford Learning Centre, our daughter would have experienced extreme difficulty in school and would have not achieved the level of success that she has.
Oxford Learning Centre has helped me so much in my English and Law. My Instructor Jay is amazing. He took his time and made sure that I understand what I need to know. I started off with a pretty low mark in my English and my mark has improved. My teacher has noticed that I have not only improved but I am much happier, and now more relaxed in class because I know what I am doing. I will continue going back to Oxford Learning because it helped me a lot, and Oxford Learning has a special heart for kids. My Instructor Jay also shows dedication and wants to help. I just wanted to take a moment and thank you. Since Noelle has started at Oxford Learning, her attitude towards reading and spelling have completely changed. She maintains a positive outlook even when spelling difficult words. She was so excited after her spelling test this week because she was able to spell the word monument. (“and Mom that’s a very long word!”) Instead of throwing up her book in frustration, she tries to sound out each letter until she gets it and will only ask for assistance after she has honestly tried. She is a more confident Noelle. Thanks again.
A learned man once spoke of changing the world one day—an ambitious yet noble feat. Changing my son's world—mission accomplished by the extraordinary team at Oxford Learning! After many failed attempts at improving my son's attitude towards his education and future success, I turned to Oxford Learning as my last hope. There we found, in abundance, hope and help and guidance that has today manifested into a progressive and positive attitude shift and a one grade point average increase. From time management to comprehensive explanations of the curriculum to effective study strategies, to friendship, Oxford Learning has consistently proven to be the solution. Oxford Learning has been great for us; I cannot imagine how my son would do at School with out Oxford Learning's help and patience. When Tyler started at Oxford Learning he could not comprehend math or his readings. Now Tyler’s friends from school call Tyler at home to help them with their homework. At Oxford Learning, I learned two very important tools that I will use in the future: study skills and the ability to make C.A.M. (Clear, Achievable, & Measurable) goals and to complete them. At Oxford Learning you get to make new friends. If you don’t understand something or want to review something they will give you the tools that you need in order to understand things. You learn a lot about language, for instance, you learn about punctuation and how to write proper paragraphs. Oxford Learning is a great place to learn. It’s full of wonderful people who really care about kids’ education.
When I was in high school I went to Oxford Learning in hopes of raising my grades so that I could get into a reputable university. Oxford Learning Bolton not only raised my grades but also taught me that everyone's path is unique and that if you truly want to succeed in life or with education you need to find what works for you. So, off to university I went. As I continued through university I began to realize that this style of learning just wasn't for me and then I remembered the words of Oxford Learning's teachers - "Whatever you do, do what you love". Not only did the staff at Oxford Learning fulfill their duties as teachers, but they also gave me the courage to become the successful business owner of Kingdom of Iron gym in Bolton. I am forever grateful for their high school math lessons and, more importantly life lessons.
My daughter is eight-years-old and was struggling in school with math. I bought multiple workbooks and tried to help her myself. I decided to give Oxford Learning Bolton a call and put my daughter into the tutoring program there. I am so happy that I did! The teachers that my daughter has been working with are amazing. Just wanted to thank you and all the staff. Our son got 81% in math on his report card last week—something finally clicked and we know Oxford Learning was largely responsible. My daughter is also doing very well. Their teacher says they both have the strongest language skills in the class and we know why. They actually teach language/grammar in their current school and it is so funny to see them breeze through the Language Skills book and say "This is so easy—we already did this at Oxford Learning." They are both doing so well; Oxford Learning truly is an investment that is worth every penny!
