Education Coordinator - Erin Mills, ON

Oxford Learning Centre in Erin Mills is growing! We are looking for a PART TIME/FULL TIME EDUCATION CO-ORDINATOR to ensure this year and the next ones to come are even better! Our new Co-ordinator must be able to work evenings and Saturday mornings. He or she will be given full training on how our centre and programs work.

Our Coordinator must have:

• Post-secondary Bachelor’s Degree related or transferable to the Marketing or Education field
• Experiences in teaching or education
• Experiences with customer service & marketing
• Administration experience a must

Our Centre is looking for someone who is:

• Highly organized but adaptable when new tasks are handed unexpectedly
• Able to think on their feet
• A master in multi-tasking
• A natural born leader and team motivator
• Personable, friendly, out-going, creative, confident and energetic
• Comfortable on the phone
• Confident in meeting with parents and school teachers
• Comfortable in conducting seminars, workshops and teacher meetings
• Able to co-ordinate centre events and community events

Some of your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Answering phone and email inquiries
• Fulfilling day to day and monthly administrative tasks
• Administering cognitive and academic testing on new students
• Designing academic programs for students
• Evaluating student progress and growth
• Training and evaluating teachers
• Preparing weekly and monthly schedules
• Teaching small groups some evenings
• Creating a fun and energetic learning environment on a daily basis
• Making connections with parents and new clients

Part-time Elementary Teacher - Mississauga, ON

Oxford Learning Centre Erin Mills is looking for committed, reliable and enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with students in Grades 1-8. Our Elementary Core Programs offer individual support to students looking to improve their academic skills and study habits. Our students are working to develop either their reading, writing and/or math skills.

A great candidate for this position will possess the following skills:

• General knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum from grades 1-8
• Strong English language written and oral communication skills
• Strong ability to organize and multi-task
• Strong motivational skills and an ability to keep students on task

A dedicated and passionate teacher who thrives on seeing students succeed will enjoy this role. Interested candidates must be available 1-2 evenings per week starting at 3:45pm and Saturday morning from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. A commitment until the end of June 2012 is required.
