Toronto Speaker Series - Teenager Tango

Host Location: High Park (February 18, 7 p.m.—8 p.m.)

Take the sting out of power struggles with your teenager. Understand your teenager’s behaviour and choose alternatives to many of your self-defeating responses by learning to take a non-reactive approach. Learn how to understand, talk to, support, guide and love your teenager.

So Dis Is Wat it Muxt Be Like! This workshop will dispel the myths and provide a concrete overview of some of the most common learning difficulties faced by so many children today. Through interactive activities and challenges, parents will have the opportunity to experience first-hand what it is like to have a learning disability of their own.

It’s Halloween Time! Join us for our Halloween party on Saturday, October 31st, 2009! Drop in anytime between 3:00p.m - 5:00p.m and have a frightfully good time. We will have games, prizes for the best costume, and of course - lots & lots of treats!

Enhancing Self Esteem: this free workshop is an introduction for parents and teachers to the concept of self-esteem. Participants will explore different ways of enhancing feelings of self-worth in individuals with Learning Disabilities.

Oxford Learning High Park kept families together once again this year! We celebrated our fourth annual Family Appreciation Week at the centre.

We Celebrated Family Literacy Day by participating in the national attempt to break the Guinness world record for “Most Children Reading With an Adult, Multiple Locations.”
