High School Teacher - Mississauga, ON

Oxford Learning Centre Meadowvale is looking for a committed, reliable and enthusiastic teacher who enjoys working with students in Grades 9-12. Our High School Advantage Programs offer individual support to students looking to improve their academic skills and study habits. A good candidate for this position will possess the following skills:

• Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 Science curriculum
• Strength in Chemistry and Biology
• Strong English language oral communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
• University Graduate with experience in either teaching or tutoring

Part Time Little Reader Teacher - Mississauga, ON

Oxford Learning in Mississauga, Meadowvale is looking to hire a creative, enthusiastic and energetic team player who enjoys working with preschoolers aged 3-6 years.

The Little Reader Program is a half-day early literacy program, which develops cognitive skills and fosters a love for learning. Oxford Learning’s enriched academic curriculum includes reading, writing, math, music as well as weekly science, French and craft activities. We make learning FUN! Children work in small groups and enjoy a balance of academics and play in a structured environment. Our program offers an enriched academic curriculum to create a solid foundation for learning.

Our Little Reader Instructors:

• Build intrinsic motivation in our students and make it matter.
• Establish a fun learning environment.
• Maintain a positive, enthusiastic, can-do attitude!

We require:

• Early Childhood Education diploma.
• ECE must be registered with the College of ECE.
• An individual who is professional, creative and eager to learn.
• Experience working with children at the preschool level.
• Minimum of 2 years experience.

Part-time Elementary Teacher - Mississauga, ON

Our Elementary Core Programs offer individual support to students looking to improve their academic skills and study habits. Our students are working to develop either their reading, writing and/or math skills.

A great candidate for this position will possess the following skills:

• General knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum from grades 1-8
• Strong English language written and oral communication skills
• Strong ability to organize and multi-task
• Strong motivational skills and an ability to keep students on task

A dedicated and passionate teacher who thrives on seeing students succeed will enjoy this role. Interested candidates must be available 1-2 evenings per week starting at 3:45pm and Saturday morning from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. A commitment until the end of June 2012 is required.
