Centre Director & Teacher
Hi! My name is Raadhika, and this is my story.
As a child, I struggled to understand how to get high grades. I saw my parents trying multiple strategies and seeking guidance from my teachers, but I couldn’t quite understand how to help myself. All I knew was that I had to try my hardest to fix something, but I didn’t know what needed to be fixed. Neither did my parents - but that didn’t stop them.
I also knew that my brother was able to learn very quickly. He could read new information and immediately be able to connect with others about his learning. He also received high grades in school, which increased his self-esteem and confidence. He needed his academics to be adjusted to his learning style and pace, just like I did, but in a very different way.
I observed how my parents approached my brother and me with our academics. We are two children from the same family, yet we learn, process, and succeed in completely different ways.
I know plenty of families struggle with this challenge. I can also understand how this challenge could create hardship for the parents of these children.
That’s why I chose this role at Oxford Learning. I now have resources that allow me to learn information that helps identify why children cannot learn or process information in a socially accepted way. I know that my parents would have been comforted in knowing how my mind worked and that there wasn’t something “wrong” with me. They would have found comfort in their new knowledge, and they would have been able to approach me with strategies and support because they would receive them for themselves.
My mission is to bring families together by discovering the challenges their children are facing. When your child completes an assessment at our centre, we can help identify factors that make it hard for your child to learn or that make them feel nervous about their abilities. After learning about these factors, we communicate with you (the parent) and use this information to create a happy learning experience for your child.
~
Before choosing this role, I taught in the public school system after earning my undergraduate degree in Business and Society and my postgraduate degree in Primary Education Studies.

Hi! I’m Katie, the Education Coordinator at Oxford Learning Centre. I have five years of experience as an elementary and middle school English and French teacher. I’m passionate about creating safe, engaging spaces where students feel confident and supported in their learning.
I studied Speech Communication at the University of Waterloo and completed my teacher's college certification at the University of the West of Scotland. These experiences helped shape my approach to building strong relationships, fostering trust, and communicating clearly with both students and families.
At Oxford Learning, I collaborate closely with our teaching team, support student needs, and source learning materials that are both fun and effective. What I bring to the table is a deep commitment to each learner’s success, a collaborative spirit, and a focus on making every child feel valued, capable, and excited to learn.

English Teacher
Hello!
I'm Rawan, an English teacher at Oxford Learning. I hold a BA in Communication Arts and an MA in English Literature. My passion for teaching started early—like many kids, I loved pretending to be the teacher during school recess. Now, as an adult, I’ve had the pleasure of being an English teacher for many years, and I still find joy in it every day.
As an avid reader since childhood, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the nuances of the English language and all the ways it can be used to express ourselves. My goal as a teacher is to help each student discover their unique voice and provide them with the linguistic tools they need to communicate with confidence.
I’ve taught English across most grade levels, up to high school, and I firmly believe in a student-centred approach that fosters active learning and critical thinking. I also love to inject humour into the class and encourage my students to do the same, creating a lighthearted, engaging environment. Above all, I strive to build strong, authentic connections with my students, ensuring they always feel safe and supported at my table.
Ultimately, my mission is to help students unlock their full potential, equipping them with the skills and confidence to express themselves and thrive.
