Oxford Learning Scarborough East is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable teacher who enjoys working with students in Grades 1-8. Teachers in our Beyond Tutoring Program offer individualized instruction, guidance and support to students to improve their core academic skills (reading, writing and/or math), thinking skills, learning strategies, and study habits. This opportunity offers 8-12 hours of rewarding teaching experience per week. Excellent training and ongoing support is provided.
Candidates for this position must possess the following:
BA or BSc and or Bachelor of Education Degree
Teaching or tutoring experience
Passion for teaching and working with children
Strong English oral & written communication skills
Organization skills and multi-tasking abilities
Ability to motivate students and build their confidence
Variety of flexible teaching strategies
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Candidates must be available 2 evenings per week starting at 3 or 4 pm throughout the school year. Saturday mornings also available. Living or working in Scarborough is advantageous. A dedicated and passionate teacher who thrives on helping students succeed will enjoy this role.

Oxford Learning Scarborough East is seeking an upbeat, dynamic High School Math and Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) teacher who wants to work in a rewarding teaching environment. This position is great experience and resume-building for recently certified teachers or teacher candidates with a passion for helping students to learn and grow.
Candidates must possess a strong background in Math and Science. Teacher must be comfortable teaching students of grades 9 - 12.
A great candidate for the position will possess the following skills:
Bachelor's degree with extensive tutoring experience
Experience in a teaching/tutoring environment in academic Math and Science
Strong English language written and communication skills
Extensive knowledge of the current grade 9 - 12 math and science curriculum including but not limited to Advanced Functions, Calculus, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Availability: Applicants must be available at least two evenings per week (Monday - Thursday) from 4.00 - 8.00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10.00am - 1.00pm
