Learning to Truly Understand and Know
Cognitive is the umbrella term for your learning skills – your ability to process information, reason, remember, and relate.
This is how it works:
- You are presented with new information
- You think about it
- You talk about it in your own words
- You notice how it relates to other things you know
Students who have trouble making sense of new information are at a deep disadvantage. In most cases they are frustrated with school because they find it too difficult. The good news is that a child’s ability to learn can be improved. This is what we do so well.
We go further than other tutoring programs by actually improving how your child’s brain processes information.
Cognitive development is at the root of all Oxford Learning programs. With our unique approach to tutoring, students gain the tools, the skills and the drive for better grades and better learning.
