I was born in Dublin, Ireland and moved to Canada in Grade 9. I lived in Pickering, Ontario, until Grade 12 and then moved to Niagara-on-the-Lake. I came to London to attend school, and I've been here ever since. :) My background is in teaching with an early childhood specialty. I've worked with Oxford Learning in many different capacities since 1999. I've been here in Byron since 2004. Oxford Learning is the perfect fit as I get to work with students of all ages. It's my dream job. In my spare time, I love to hang out with my family & friends, read, and watch movies. I also love to travel (particularly to Ireland to visit my family).
Oxford Learning's mission is to help students reach their highest potential; I'm lucky to have such a fun and rewarding career.

I was born in Galt, Ontario. I grew up in several small communities as my father was a bank manager and we were transferred approximately every five years. Places I have lived include: Galt, Drumbo, Chapleau, Teeswater, Mount Forest, Mississauga, Waterloo, Hamilton and finally London. I attended the University of Waterloo and received my Bachelor of Environment Studies with a major in Geography. I was interested in the environment and was inspired by my high school geography teacher. In my spare time I enjoy reading, gardening, spending time at the cottage, canoeing and playing board games. I have worked at Oxford Learning since September 2001. I enjoy working here because I learn something new every day. I also get a great deal of pleasure out of helping students achieve their goals :)

I was born and raised right here in London, ON. After graduating from Westminster Secondary School, I attended UWO where I earned my Honours BA in French and German followed by my B.Ed from Althouse College. I spent the next 30 years teaching grade 7 and 8 homeroom plus grade 4-8 rotary French (core) for London and TVDSB. I retired from full-time teaching but I am really enjoying the chance to work here at Oxford Learning, instilling a joy of language learning and a sense of fulfillment in both the students and myself. I love animals and currently have 2 golden retrievers. I also love to travel, go for walks, bike, swim, canoe, cross country ski (when there’s enough snow!) and read.

Hi everyone! My name is Israa, I was born in Windsor, ON and raised in wintery Winnipeg. I am now living closer to my roots here in London and am attending Western University where I'm completing an honours specialization in Psychology. I'm hoping to pursue a career in clinical science and psychopathology as I'm extremely passionate about exploring and learning about the human mind and helping others through that knowledge.
My favourite moments are truly the simplest. I enjoy winding down with a good novel or TV show and being around friends and family. I have been tutoring for the past two years and it has brought me great joy to see students gain confidence in themselves and their abilities. I'm now thrilled to join the incredible team at Oxford Learning and work with such bright students.

I moved to Canada about 15 years ago to attend King’s University College. I earned an Honours Specialization in Psychology with a minor in Criminology. I have many years of experience in education and working with children. My particular academic passion is learning more about math anxiety. I love working with Elementary students, in particular, and guiding them through concepts that may seem hard initially. I’m a lifelong learner and love to stretch my creative brain. Some of my favourite hobbies are drawing, reading, cooking, and knitting!

I grew up in the formerly small town of Milton, Ontario. I'm currently pursuing a degree in Medical Sciences as I have an interest in doing research on problems that we don’t have solutions for in the medical field. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy playing badminton and learning the piano. Just as those who have tutored me have done, I enjoy paying it forward to students and seeing them succeed!
Fun fact: I write with my left hand, but I shoot a basketball with my right hand…

I was born and raised in London and attended King's University College for Psychology, as well as Childhood and Social Institutions (CSI). I always knew I wanted to work with children, and I eventually chose the path of an elementary teacher. I've worked with Thames Valley District School Board since 2017. I adopted an Australian Cattle Dog in December of 2022, and she has kept me very busy. I recently took up gardening and have enjoyed learning a new skill. I love working with Oxford Learning because of the small group and one-on-one time I spend with students.

I grew up in Mississauga and am now at Western University doing a double major in Computer Science and Financial Economics. When I'm not studying, you'll catch me breaking a sweat in the gym or diving into a good read. Working at Oxford Learning lets me do what I love: teaching and coaching. There's nothing like the joy of overcoming challenges with students, which makes it all worthwhile.
