I joined the Oxford Learning team in January 2011 as an Education Director; With a deep admiration, and enthusiasm for the Oxford system and its philosophies, in 2014 I ventured into Oxford Learning’s business side of things. After receiving my BA from Wilfrid Laurier and earning my Graduate Diploma in Education from The University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia, I travelled, and accumulated a variety of experiences that included teaching in Canada, Australia, as well as the UK. My ambition as a teacher (turned Oxford Learning owner) is to promote methods of coaching that encourage students to take ownership of their learning and have a great time in the process. Teresa comes to life when the students are in the Centre; she genuinely values her connection with families, and enjoy using humour to build a sense of togetherness and fun.
A part of the Oxford Learning team since 2008 and part of the Bowmanville team since in 2017, Erin earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Trent University and has been developing her craft, and exercising her leadership skills as an Education Director with Oxford Learning. She continues to enhance her educational résumé as a student working towards an Early Childhood Education Diploma. Her experience working with children, coupled with her energy and enthusiasm makes her a valued and essential part of the team.
Erin loves inspiring the kids to reach their full potential and assist in their building strong academic and life skills; her caring and empathetic nature allows her to create a warm and supportive learning space that promotes confidence and encourages kids to take learning risks.
