    Part-time High School Math and Science Teacher


    Oxford Learning Brooklin is looking for a committed, reliable and enthusiastic teacher who enjoys working with students in Grades 9-12. Our High School Advantage Programs offer individual support to students looking to improve their academic skills and study habits.

    A great candidate for this position will possess the following skills:
    • Knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math and science curriculum, particularly senior maths including: Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus & Vectors and senior sciences including: Biology, Chemistry and Physics
    • Comfortable teaching all grades
    • Strong English language oral communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
    • Experience in either teaching or tutoring high levels of math
    • Interested candidates must be able to work a minimum of 2 evenings a week from 4-8 pm, and Saturday mornings
    • A commitment until June 2017 is mandatory. The position is to start immediately.

    Oxford Learning Brooklin has an opening for an upbeat, dynamic individual who want to work in a rewarding teaching environment. Candidates must possess a strong passion for seeing students succeed and must be comfortable working with students in grades 1-8.

    A great candidate for this position will possess the following skills:
    • Bachelor’s Degree or Fourth year University Student (Ontario Teacher Certification is NOT a requirement)
    • Experience in a teaching environment or working with children in general
    • Strong English language written and oral communication skills
    • Commitment and respect for teacher/student relationships
    • Accepting of feedback and willing to learn new skills and teaching strategies
    Teaching Requirements:
    • Must be flexible in availability
    • Dynamic, passionate, energetic and outgoing personality
    • Highly organized, able to multi-task and think on your feet
    • Must be available a minimum of two evenings a week from 4pm-8pm and possibly Saturdays from 9 am-noon
    • A minimum one year commitment is required. The position is to start immediately.
