Oxford Learning Brooklin is looking for a committed, reliable and enthusiastic teacher who enjoys working with students in Grades 9-12. Our High School Advantage Programs offer individual support to students looking to improve their academic skills and study habits.
A great candidate for this position will possess the following skills:
Knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math and science curriculum, particularly senior maths including: Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus & Vectors and senior sciences including: Biology, Chemistry and Physics
Comfortable teaching all grades
Strong English language oral communication skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
Experience in either teaching or tutoring high levels of math
Interested candidates must be able to work a minimum of 2 evenings a week from 4-8 pm, and Saturday mornings
A commitment until June 2017 is mandatory. The position is to start immediately.

My name is Tara and, as the Education Coordinator for the Oxford Learning Centre in Brooklin, I am thrilled to be part of such an amazing team of dedicated professionals who help Brooklin students maximize their full potential. I have always loved learning about human interaction, various cultures, and society as a whole, which led me to earn my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology/Anthropology. My name is Shelby and I’m originally from the Durham Region. In 2012, I graduated from Durham College with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I am currently a full-time Early Childhood Educator with the Durham District School Board and working within the Full-Day Kindergarten Program.
