Joanne holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Guelph, a Teaching Effectiveness Certificate from Humber College, and is an Oxford-certified cognitive and academic assessor. Joanne believes that education is the key to making the world a better place and is proud of her impact on Oxford Learning Burlington South's students.
A busy mom to four children and passionate about her community, Joanne mentors other women in business and has volunteered extensively within local schools. Joanne has over 25 years of service with Girl Guides of Canada and enjoys spending time with family, travelling, curling, and cuddling with her tiny dog, Daisy.

Elise is currently pursuing a Master of Mathematics for Teachers at the University of Waterloo and graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics. She is an Oxford certified cognitive and academic assessor and is passionate about finding the root of student's academic struggles.
Elise's favourite part of her role at Oxford is managing the students' programs and helping them overcome obstacles. She loves getting to know every Oxford student and seeing them light up as their confidence grows. You will always see a smile on Elise's face when she is with students and she constantly encourages them to keep an open mind with their learning.
Some fun facts about Elise: she is a triathlete, a plant lover, a Pokémon enthusiast, and she has two dogs, a cat, and a bunny!

She is passionate about education and giving her students the confidence and tools they need to reach their academic potential. Hailey strives to make learning fun and especially loves teaching biology and chemistry.
In her free time, she likes playing tennis, reading, and walking her two dogs, Charlie and Poppy.

Emily holds a Master of Arts from King's College London, a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University, and is an Ontario Certified Teacher. She taught Kindergarten to Grade 3 in London, England for several years before returning to where she grew up - Burlington.
Emily loves teaching and especially finds joy with helping her students foster a love for learning. Encouraging them to reach their highest potential is what she finds most fulfilling.
Emily has two young children and enjoys spending time with her family, drawing, and baking.

Yousef is passionate about helping his students succeed and believes that creating a relaxing environment leads to an optimal learning experience. He also strives to help students develop an interest and curiosity for learning outside of typical school subjects.
Yousef is fluent in Arabic, loves all things engineering, and especially enjoys teaching math and physics. In Yousef’s spare time, he enjoys 3D modelling and printing, working on cars, graphic design, camping, and outdoor activities.

Beth hopes to teach abroad and learn about different culture and languages in the future. Some interesting facts about Beth are that she has a dog named Oliver, she's an avid Taylor Swift fan, she began playing the cello at age three, and she has been to Italy twice!

Adrian was recently accepted into the Ph.D. in Mathematics program at the University of Edinburgh, and holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Arts & Science in Mathematics from McMaster University.
Adrian believes that mathematics is the language through which the natural world communicates with us and is applicable to the study of nearly all social and natural phenomena. In and of itself, mathematics teaches its students to solve problems effectively, and to formulate logically rigorous arguments. Adrian believes that everyone is capable of having meaningful and joyful experiences in mathematics.
Outside of his studies, Adrian enjoys outdoor activities such as canoeing, hiking, and camping. His favourite historical mathematicians are Emmy Noether and Alan Turing. His favourite type of pen is the Pilot V2 with a 0.7mm point and you’ll never catch him doing math without it!

Nick volunteers as a coach for the Burlington Rep football team, where he has been coaching since he retired from the sport. He played professionally for the Ottawa Redblacks and loves sharing his passion for the game with his players.

It is hard to find someone out there who loves math more than Tedra! She not only loves watching her students get better in math, but she loves watching them learn to love math.
Tedra is fluent in French, loves to travel, and has lived in Greece, Japan, and England. She is also a certified scuba diving instructor and was a competitive swimmer, so when she is not doing math, you'll usually find Tedra under water!

Martine was an Oxford Learning student throughout her high school years, and due to how much it helped with her learning, organization, and confidence, was inspired to pursue the Educator position at Oxford Learning.
Martine loves seeing her students progress in their confidence and abilities and watching their excitement for learning new materials.
Martine is a longtime member of the Girl Guides of Canada, fluent in French, and enjoys painting and camping.
