Our experience with Oxford Learning Burlington has been very positive and rewarding! Our son, Nicholas has benefitted 100% by attending classes every week. Oxford Learning has given Nicholas the ability and confidence to work independently with more assurance of himself, and we owe that to the Burlington team. He always looks forward to his classes, the teachers are very approachable and ALWAYS willing to help and Anne-Marie and Meaghan go out of their way to insure that Nicholas (and all of the students) get the best program for their needs and always get a boost of confidence every time they come in for a class.
Thank you so much, Oxford Learning Burlington for a wonderful year!

"I was absolutely thrilled with the results my son achieved at his Oxford Learning program. When he went for his assessment at the end of Grade 5 he was assessed at a Grade 1 French level. With the help of his amazing Oxford Learning teacher, he has completely caught up to his classmates! Oxford Learning gave him the small group teaching model he so desperately needed, and has boosted not only his marks but his confidence as well."

Along with an emphasis in Business Management and Marketing, I also have extensive experience working with and relating to children of all ages. I decided that I wanted to pursue a career that would not only put my management skills to great use, but also provide assistance in the educational growth and development of children. This is what led me to Oxford Learning.
Oxford Learning holds a special place in my heart as I have young family members that have attended in the past. Over time I’ve watched their confidence grow, their attitudes improve and their grades increase significantly. I strongly believe in the program because I’ve seen first hand that it truly does work! There is nothing more rewarding than knowing you have had a hand in helping so many children achieve great academic and personal success. I love building relationships with our students and feel it is important for each child to feel that they are in a comfortable and safe environment while also incorporating a little fun into what they are learning about. In my free time, I enjoy seeing live music, sports (especially Hockey), being outdoors, photography, as well as spending time with my family, friends and my cat and two dogs, Charlie, Abby and Ryker.
With a Bachelor of Honors Degree from Trent University and an emphasis in Teacher Education and Psychology, I am committed to helping students achieve their academic and cognitive goals. Over the past twelve years working for Oxford Learning, I have attained new skills and experiences to help in my role as Director of Education. I enjoy working together with both parents and students to ensure they receive the best possible program. I am committed to ensuring students are in a safe environment where they feel confident, motivated, and most importantly, inspired. In my spare time I enjoy doing fun activities with my son, reading books and enjoying time with my family and friends.
I am currently a Core Teacher at Oxford Learning and am enjoying every moment. As a teacher, you are able to grow with your students by seeing their potential and confidence progress in each session you have with them. Witnessing a student smile and celebrate their success is the best part about being a Teacher. I graduated from Brock University in the Concurrent Education Program, where I received a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts. I am currently an Occasional Teacher in the school board, where I'm pursuing my career dream. As well, I volunteer coach the U14 Field Hockey girls. Teaching has always been my passion, and continues to be.
High School Math & Science and Core Teacher - Grades 1 - 12
Hi, my name is Gabriella and I teach students in the Beyond Tutoring (Core) and Advantage (high school) programs. I completed my B.Sc degree in Biology at McMaster University, and decided to pursue further education. I am now working towards obtaining a Ph.D at McMaster in Neuroscience with a focus on mental health.
I've been a teacher at Oxford Learning for over two years and I absolutely love teaching here! Nothing can compare to the moment when you see how much a student has progressed and grown. It is my passion to help students achieve academic milestones, build confidence and realize their own potential. In my free time, I really enjoy Zumba, watching comedy and drama television shows and spending time with my family, friends and my dog, Espresso!
I have been working for Oxford Learning for five years now. After taking a year off for maternity leave, I have just recently returned. I have taught in the Little Readers program as well as French and Core in my time here. I have also been an Education Co-Coordinator. I am currently an occasional French teacher with the Halton District School Board. I love being a part of this team because you develop a relationship with the kids and get to watch their confidence increase day by day. It’s a lot of fun working with the teachers and kids.
I have been teaching at Oxford Learning for one year now and have enjoyed every minute of it. Ever since I was a young girl I knew I wanted to be a teacher, and Oxford Learning has given me the opportunity to do what I truly love. There is nothing more rewarding than helping students succeed.
I attended the Concurrent Education program at Wilfred Laurier and Nipissing University with primary/junior qualifications. I also obtained teachables in Social Science, Geography and Mathematics at the intermediate/senior level. I consider myself to be a life long learner, and I am always eager to adapt new strategies to reach every student I work with. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my friends and keeping active.
I received my International Bachelor of Arts degree from York University's bilingual Glendon Campus where I studied French - English translation and Spanish/Hispanic Studies.
During my time as a teaching assistant in France, I found that I really enjoyed working with students and helping them to better understand their work. The one thing I like best about working with students is seeing them gain more confidence as they progress. Some of my favourite pastimes are traveling, drawing/painting, photography, reading, sports and studying foreign languages.
I received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Geography and a Bachelor of Education for Intermediate/Senior from Brock University, and later got my Junior. I am currently an Elementary Supply Teacher in the school board. I am very passionate about helping students reach their academic goals and felt that Oxford Learning would be a great place for me to start.
When I was young, I was a student at Oxford Learning and soon realized what a tremendous amount of help it was for me, especially when I got into school and had to complete assignments and write tests. The programs really give students the proper tools to help them not only academically, but cognitively as well. Now I want to give back and do the same thing for students that are in the position I was in years ago. I really enjoy working with kids and love the positive work environment that Oxford Learning provides!
I graduated from Brock University with a degree in Child and Youth Studies and went on to get my teaching degree at Nipissing University. I am a teacher with the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board and am currently teaching kindergarten in the country.
I have been working at Oxford Learning for a year now. My passion for teaching drove me to search for a way outside of school hours to help students develop their love for learning. Oxford Learning is a great fit for me. I love the people I work with and care about my students. The positive and inviting atmosphere makes Oxford Learning Burlington feel like a second home to me. I enjoy teaching and getting to see my students excitement when they complete a page or a book.
In my spare time I love to travel, play soccer and watch movies.
