At the beginning of this school year Isabelle was struggling tremendously in school. Her reading, writing, and comprehension were not at grade level, and she was finding it difficult to grasp new ideas and concepts. She was quickly falling behind in all school subjects, even by the end of the first month! By October I had enrolled Isabelle with Oxford Learning. I have always wanted the best for my child, as education is a very important issue. I had heard many positive remarks about your program and felt it was worth a try. As school went on, I noticed remarkable progress with Isabelle’s schoolwork and self-esteem. Her grades have improved and her confidence has grown to a new level, both socially and academically. She works very hard in school and is no longer struggling as before. Overall, she is a much happier grade student! S. Holmes Calgary, Alberta

My child has improved in English Language Arts with Oxford Learning classes that I am also registering his sister. He can now focus on all the subjects equally now that he has covered his skill gaps in English.

I liked how Oxford Learning gave me difficult (but not too difficult) worksheets. I also like how we took breaks and fun games like word searches. I also think the stuff I worked on helped me but was also relevant to what I needed help on. Another thing I liked was working one-on-one with Reeba.

Not only does Oxford Learning have an incredible French tutoring program, but Brittany at the West Calgary location is also truly a gem. On account of the pandemic, my neurodivergent child, who is otherwise quite good with English comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar, was barely reaching those competencies in French for her current grade. The concerns were how her shortcomings would affect her in the next grade, and whether a school change out of French immersion was in order. Brittany's approach was to first establish a rapport with my child. I learned how valuable that dynamic was when the tutoring sessions became more challenging. We started with two sessions per week for the last eight weeks of the school year. Over the summer break, we did five sessions plus the week-long French camp. Regular school starts up next week, and here's how things are going... I consider myself relatively good at reading in French. So I can attest to the absolutely amazing improvements in my child's French skills. In fact, there has been comprehension homework when I asked my child to slow down to ensure accuracy, but she can respond with an impressive speed! The last school year ended on a very low note for me. My child's struggles were troubling for me. But after just a few months with Brittany at Oxford Learning, I am just thrilled that we are starting the next school year with confidence. Oxford Learning's French tutoring program is as effective as a gym membership: you only get out of it what you put into it. The program is flexible enough for hands-off parents to let Brittany work her magic; your child will certainly see results, regardless. If you have time (you don't even have to know French) make sure your child does about 15 minutes of every night will deliver maximum progress. A little commitment will go a long way!
