    Part-time Intermediate/Senior Science Teacher for Tutoring


    The Oxford Learning Centre - LaSalle, Ontario location has an opening for an upbeat, dynamic teacher who wants to work in a rewarding teaching environment as a tutor. Candidates must possess a strong passion for seeing students succeed and must be comfortable teaching students ranging in age from Kindergarten to Grade 8 and Grade 9 to Grade 12. A great candidate for this position will possess the following:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Science and/or Bachelor in Education
    • OCT Certified or in the process of being OCT Certified – in I/S Science
    • Strong English language communication skills
    • French is an asset, but not necessary for the position
    Teaching Requirements:
    • Must be comfortable teaching grades 9-12 Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
    Interested candidates must be available to work within these hours at the Centre:
    • Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 3:00 – 8:00 pm and/or
    • Monday and Wednesday evenings from 3:00 – 8:00 pm and/or
    • Saturdays 9-3pm
    • A commitment to the end of the 2014/2015 is also required to provide consistency to our students

    Oxford Learning Kanata is looking for a high level French language Teacher to join our Team! We have an opening for an upbeat, dynamic French teacher who is fluent in both French and English and able to teach students up to grade 12.

    Interested candidates must be available for 6-15 hours per week, including some mornings (summer only), evenings (all year), and Saturdays (Sept – June only).

    Candidates must possess a strong passion for seeing students succeed and must be comfortable teaching students ranging in age from Grade 1 – high-school. This individual should also be comfortable tutoring in both English and Math from Grades 1 – 8.

    Teaching Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s Degree or working towards one
    • Experience in a teaching/tutoring environment
    • Experience with the Ontario curriculum
    • Strong French & English language skills
    • Be a dedicated and passionate teacher who thrives on seeing students succeed
    • Upbeat and willing to motivate
    • Highly organized and able to think on your feet
    • Flexible schedule

    • You will administer Oxford Dynamic Assessments, customize goal-based programs for Oxford students and monitor programs for performance. You will create a positive learning environment for the student during all phases of the instructional program.
