As a successful Education Coordinator, you will work in partnership with our Education Director to lead and manage the Centre. You will champion the Oxford teaching philosophy and curriculum. You will train, manage & support the teaching staff to ensure the effective, quality delivery of our education services. You will communicate with prospective parents to inform them about Oxford programs. You will administer Oxford Dynamic Assessments, recommend goal-based programs and monitor & report students’ performance to parents. You will create a positive learning environment for our students and teachers at all times. Excellent training and ongoing support will be provided.
Candidates for this position must possess the following:
A university degree in Education, Child Studies or Psychology
Two or more years of teaching or tutoring experience
Excellent English written and oral communication skills
Dynamic leadership, teamwork and motivational skills
Maturity, insight, initiative, creativity and persuasiveness
Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
Available a mix of weekdays, evenings and some Saturdays

Oxford Learning Pickering is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable teacher who enjoys working with students in Grades 1-8. Teachers in our Beyond Tutoring Program offer individualized instruction, guidance and support to students to improve their core academic skills (reading, writing and/or math), thinking skills, learning strategies, and study habits. This opportunity offers 6-10 hours of rewarding teaching experience per week. Excellent training and ongoing support is provided.
