    Position Details

    Oxford Learning at Yonge & St. Clair in Toronto is seeking committed, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with students in Grades 1 - 8. Our Beyond Tutoring programs offer individual support to students looking to improve their academic skills and study habits.

    A great candidate for this position will possess the following skills:

    • An undergraduate degree
    • Knowledge of the current Ontario Elementary Curriculum
    • Strong English language written and oral communication skills
    • Experience with students in a teaching or tutoring environment
    • Ability to keep students on task and motivated
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Strong ability to multi-task
    • Must be able to commit until June 2017

    Oxford Learning at Yonge St. and Clair Ave. E has an opening for an upbeat, passionate, committed, enthusiastic, and dynamic French teacher who wants to work in a rewarding teaching environment. Our French Programs offer individual support to students looking to improve their academic skills and study habits. Candidates must possess a strong passion for seeing students succeed and must be comfortable teaching students ranging in age from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in French, both core and french immersion.

    Candidates must possess a strong background in spoken and written French and English and be comfortable teaching up to a Grade 9 level, but up to Grade 12 is preferred. The candidate is required to instruct class sessions in French.

    Our candidate must have:

      • Bachelor's degree
      • Strong secondary school French skills are an asset
      • Extensive knowledge of written and verbal French Language
      • Experience in either teaching or tutoring environment in French

    High School Math/Science Teacher

    Motivated by mathematics? Sharp with science? Excited by equations in both fields? Eager to help students succeed in math and science? 

    Oxford Learning Rosedale is looking for an upbeat, dynamic part-time High School Math/Science teacher who wants to work in a challenging and rewarding teaching environment. Candidates must possess a strong background in Math and Science and must be comfortable teaching students in Grades 9 – 12 at all levels in both subjects. 

    We focus on cognitive personal development and look for individuals who will honour our Oxford teaching methods and philosophy in a fun environment.  We will train you in our innovative Interactive Coaching methods that teach students how to learn and study more effectively.

    Our candidate must have:

    • Specific Qualifications:
      • Bachelor’s Degree or fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience
      • Experience in either teaching or tutoring high levels of math
      • Must have extensive knowledge of the current Grade 9-12 science curriculum including but not limited to Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
      • Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math curriculum, particularly senior maths including Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus, and Vectors
      • Available at least 2 evenings a week between 3:30 pm and 8:00 pm and potentially Saturdays between 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
      • A commitment until the end of June 2017
