Hi! My name is Danielle and I am proud to be the Owner and Centre Director at Oxford Learning Bradford. I have a diploma in Creative Advertising, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Windsor, and I am a member of the Ontario College of Teachers.
My favourite word in the English language is clementine, and if I could have any superpower, I would love to be able to fly. In my spare time, you can find me baking and watching Moana with my kids. My favourite book is On the Night You Were Born by Nancy Tillman. Opening this Centre with my sister Lisa has been such a rewarding experience! I thoroughly enjoy helping many families and students achieve their goals and aspirations through the Oxford Learning Difference. Hi! My name is Lisa and I am very proud to lead the Oxford Learning team in Bradford as the Centre Director. I have worked with Oxford Learning Centres over a number of years and have helped many students build their skills and enrich their minds. I began my journey with Oxford Learning as a teacher, then came to Bradford to open up my own centre with my sister, Danielle.
I am a graduate of the University of Toronto’s Concurrent Teaching Education Program and I am a Certified Teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers. My favourite word in the English language is serendipity, a noun meaning finding something pleasant that you were not looking for; a fortunate happenstance. If I were a superhero, my superpower would be teleporting to Bradford! My secret talent is my ability to win Monopoly. My favourite book is Oh The Places You’ll Go! By Dr. Suess and I enjoy watching Disney movies such as Tangled and Aladdin. I look forward to getting to know all of the families in our centre and creating lifelong learners. Helping students develop a love for learning has always been a passion of mine, and I love helping students develop the same passion.

Hi! My name is Jessica and I am very excited to be part of the Oxford Learning team in Bradford. I graduated from the University of Toronto’s Concurrent Education program in 2014 and I am a Certified Teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers. I am currently working as a Special Education Teacher at the York Region District School Board. My experience as a Special Education Teacher has allowed me to recognize the importance of catering to the individualized needs of students. I love witnessing and supporting students while they are learning how to reach their full potential.
If I were a superhero, my superpower would allow me to fly! My secret talent is that I am a circus performer and acrobat. When I am not teaching, I am performing or coaching children and adults in aerial silks, aerial hoop, and acrobatics. In my spare time I play the piano, do yoga and go to Orange Theory.
My goal is to help students develop a growth mindset and a love for learning by gaining the confidence and skills needed to be successful both at Oxford Learning and in their classrooms.

I am currently a writer of children’s books that range from picture books to young adult novels. I have an HBA from York University with a Sociology Major and a Psychology Minor. I am fascinated by human behaviour.
My favourite word in English is onomatopoeia. It refers to words that sound like a sound, i.e. zip, boom, bam. Plus, it is just fun to say!
It is hard for me to chose a favourite book as I read a lot. Today, it is The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom. My favourite movie has to be Casablanca.
I attended a French Separate School from JK to eighth grade in Northern Ontario. I have used my knowledge of French in previous employment, but none as important as this one.

I am excited to be a part of this centre that is filled with positive energy. I moved to Canada from Bahrain, which is a small island in the Middle East. I have a BA, an MA, and a Bachelor of Education in English and am presently a teacher at a schooI that I love. I am an Ontario Certified Teacher. I have been teaching English for over 10 years and it is my passion. Learning through play and individualizing methods for students are major parts of my personal teaching style.
I love kids and know that there is a lot that we can learn from them. I try my best to use what I learn to help other children who learn differently.

Hello there! My name is Bev and I’m a teacher at Oxford Learning Bradford. I taught elementary school in Toronto for over 30 years and retired a few years ago. I found that I really missed working with young learners and went to Cambodia to volunteer at a school there. The students were learning English and I found the whole experience so rewarding. When I returned to Canada, I began tutoring online, using my ESL skills to teach students from Hong Kong, Rio, California, Turkey, and the Ukraine. I continue to do so and I love it. However, I think I’m at my best when I am teaching in person. I love to see the faces of students when they feel achievement and success.
My favourite phrase is “YES! I CAN do it!”. If I were a superhero, my superpower would be the ability to allow every learner to feel success and confidence, and that is what we strive to do at Oxford! My secret talent is singing the lyrics from most Broadway musicals. I love going to the theatre and reading. My favourite types of books are biographies and historical novels. I have two grown kids. My daughter Emily is a teacher in Hamilton, and my son Chris is a firefighter in Mississauga. I am very proud of both of them. Hello! My name is Nicolette, and I am a proud teacher here at Oxford Learning Bradford. I have been absolutely loving my teaching role here. It has been rewarding and so much fun! I graduated from Queens University with a major in Health Studies, and am also a certified ESL (English as a second language) teacher. Prior to my position here at Oxford Learning Centre, I worked as an ESL teacher for a Korean company where I prepared activities and lesson plans that were aligned with each student’s individual language level and personal interests to improve comprehension, speaking, and cultural awareness. My favourite word in the English language is phenomenal, an adjective used to describe something that is remarkable or extraordinary. If I were a superhero my superpower would be to time travel, as history has always been one of, if not my favourite, subject in school!
